foreword

When an independent website is established or a new product is put on the shelves, it is often difficult to find in the major search engines because there is no suitable picture material.

But the results are often unsatisfactory. The pictures are either too small, low resolution, or of poor quality to be usable, or because the pictures are watermarked and expensive. It seems that simply looking for pictures often requires us to invest a lot of time and energy, and the final result is not necessarily satisfactory to us.

Sometimes, on an independent website, an excellent, high-quality picture can give customers a good impression, retain customers, see more products, and even complete conversions.

After learning about the needs of merchants for high-quality images, Shopify officially sorted out ten useful free or easy-to-use image material websites.

1.Burst

Burst is a free image website officially provided by Shopify. The website image library contains thousands of high-resolution images taken by photographers around the world, updated weekly with high-definition photos. These public domain photos are free for commercial or personal use, whether you are a designer, blogger, or entrepreneur who needs beautiful stock photography.

The site has a search function where you can search for keywords or find the images you want by popular categories. Another handy feature of Burst is its "Business Ideas" section, where you'll find photos sorted by market business categories, such as photos of women's fashion, art supplies, socks, and more.

2.Pixabay

Pixabay is a free gallery site with over 2.2 million images, videos, and audio available for free download. Pixabay provides royalty-free photos from contributors that can be modified and used by anyone without any conditions.

Images on Pixabay contain tons of themes. All photos are released under a Pixabay license, which is similar to the Creative Commons CCO, but with stricter moderation.

3.Unsplash

Unsplash has over 2.5 million beautiful photos taken by photographers around the world. All images are free for any use you wish, and Unsplash updates images daily for download. As long as you sign up for a free new account on Unsplash, you can use the photos above and support iPhone, iPad or computer access.

4.Pexels

On the Pexels website, pictures and videos licensed by Pexels can be downloaded for free, similar to the CCO certificate. You may download, copy, forward and modify photos licensed by Pexels. The Pexels website has hundreds of thousands of licensed images, handpicked from photos uploaded by the Pexels community. All photos are tagged, searchable, and easily found on the site's discovery page.

7.Canva

The acclaimed graphic design tool Canva also offers free images on its website. The Canva website offers millions of paid and free photos to download or use in the Canva platform's design editor. Instead of navigating through searches, you can find the images you want based on photos and colors.
